The art logistics company Fine Art Shippers has announced that “Da Race on Wheels,” an innovative art project created in collaboration with the renowned street artist Mitchell Schorr, was turned into an NFT. The artwork, which is powered by the Ethereum blockchain, is already available for sale on OpenSea. The proceeds from its sale will be donated to a charity to support small businesses suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fine Art Shippers is a family-operated art handling and art shipping service provider based in New York. The company offers a comprehensive range of services that include national and international art shipping, white glove home moving, art pick-up and delivery, art packing and crating, art insurance, art procurement, art advisory, and art insurance, among others. One of the most popular services provided by Fine Art Shippers is the art shuttle service. The company operates a network of art shuttle vans that run throughout the country to deliver art and antique pieces from state to state. One such van was embellished with “Da Race” painting by Mitchell Schorr.

Mitchell Schorr is a celebrated NYC-based street artist widely known for his iconic “Da Race” series of murals and paintings, rock-and-roll drawings, and luminous abstractions. His art has been exhibited at some of the most prominent art museums and galleries in the United States, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and Galerie Mourlot. Schorr’s works have also been showcased in London, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, and other cities around the world.

“Da Race on Wheels” is a collaborative project by Fine Art Shippers and Mitchell Schorr. The artist painted one of Fine Art Shippers’ shuttle vans with his “Da Race” painting, turning the vehicle into a moving gallery of street art. The art shuttle is now traveling throughout the United States, delivering art for Fine Art Shippers’ clients and showcasing the latest work by Mitchell Schorr in all major US cities.

In June, “Da Race on Wheels” was turned into an NFT artwork. Ilya Kushnirskiy, Marketing Director and Co-Founder of Fine Art Shippers, created and minted the company’s first NFT during a live educational workshop dedicated to Ethereum smart contracts. The workshop was organized by the founder of International Art Management Sofia Birina and featured the Mastermind of Think Tank Community and co-founder of Kingdom of Kaprika Sergey Sevantsyan and the founder of Kaprika Media Roman Luka. “Da Race on Wheels” NFT is currently up for grabs on OpenSea. As mentioned above, the proceeds will be donated to support small businesses suffered from the coronavirus pandemic.
