Dearborn Heights, MI Becomes Latest City to Contract Priority Waste to Take Over Trash Collection

Metro Detroit’s well-known & established trash collection and dumpster rental service, Priority Waste is now the official trash collection company for the city of Dearborn Heights, MI after the city dealt with more than its share of issues with the previous company. A competitive bid process was held and the company was considered to be the most reliable service option with the most advantageous pricing. “They had the best package and the best customer service,” said Dearborn Heights Mayor Bill Bazzi.

“We're very excited,” said Priority Waste Director of Municipalities, Dan Venet. He also noted that as an essential service, the company has had to work diligently to make sure that operations continue unabated. “We look forward to providing our signature service to another great local city & citizens will see improved and consistent service right away,” the company added.

Priority will now be responsible for all trash pick-up in the city. The company and the city anticipate a smooth transition with no interruptions in service as Priority takes the reins.

According to Mayor Bazzi, “Priority was actually one of the services we contacted to provide some supplemental debris removal service during last year’s floods. They demonstrated some very impressive abilities during the crisis — which makes us even more confident with this decision. I fully expect Priority will provide our residents and businesses with the top-quality, personable service, which is exactly what they deserve.”
