Doherty Enterprises, Inc., in partnership with JINYA Ramen Bar, has announced plans to open a second New Jersey restaurant location at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, NJ this fall, following their successful 2024 opening in Totowa, NJ.
Located at 390 Hackensack Ave., Ste. 171A, in Hackensack, the new JINYA Ramen Bar will feature over 2,000 square feet of bar and dining space, offering guests flavorful ramen dishes made with rich broth simmered in-house for over 20 hours, along with authentic Japanese small plates, shareables, and craft cocktails.
"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Doherty Enterprises to bring JINYA Ramen Bar to Hackensack," said JINYA CEO and Founder Tomo Takahashi. "This new location represents the next step in our shared vision to expand JINYA's presence in the Northeast. With Doherty’s local expertise and our commitment to authentic ramen, we’re confident this opening will deliver an unforgettable dining experience to the Riverside community."
Along with a great menu, the JINYA Ramen Bar in Hackensack will also feature a full bar, stocked with a wide selection of authentic Japanese beers like Sapporo Reserve Black, Asahi and Echigo Weizen, as well as liquors including whiskey, vodka, gin, and sake from brands like Suntory, Joto Craft Sake, and Mars Whiskey. In addition to Japanese beers, the restaurant also features craft beers from local New Jersey breweries such as 7 Tribesmen, Ghost House Brewing, Kane Brewing, Bolero Snort Brewery, and Brix City.
"Bringing JINYA Ramen Bar to Hackensack is a natural next step in our commitment to offering unique, high-quality dining options in New Jersey," said Tim Doherty, CEO of Doherty Enterprises. "We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our first location in Totowa, and we’re eager to introduce even more guests to JINYA’s exceptional ramen, flavorful tapas, and rare Japanese beers and liquors. This new restaurant underscores our dedication to enriching the dining landscape in the communities we serve."
At JINYA, guests can experience ramen like it’s meant to be —– with thick, rich broth in perfect balance with flavorful noodles. The brand offers a wide array of authentic toppings, including tender pork chashu, a perfectly cooked and seasoned poached egg or fresh garlic. To elevate the experience further, dishes can be perfectly paired with tapas or a craft beer. JINYA is ramen culture, where the relationship between broth and noodles is serious but delicious business.
