Forest Rose Productions launches Kickstarter Campaign for its “Strange Journey” Smartly Sophisticated Elegant Enamel Lapel Pins

Enamel pins are affordable works of art that make a personal statement by (or about) the wearer.  They communicate visual messages that can be humorous, poignant, or political yet can be quickly changed out as needed.  Pins invite conversation, discussion, and debate. As collectibles, they can chronicle historic moments while preserving bits of their original owner’s personality and views.

A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign is scheduled to launch Smartly Sophisticated Elegant Enamel Lapel Pins on October 20^th with the introduction of three (3) pins in an effort to reach a $900 funding goal.  The campaign will run for 20 days. Once this goal is met, a collection of 25 unique pins include some with moving components and special functions like the pin named “The Encryptionist” whose rotating face can be used to encrypt and decode messages. One pin features multiple cogs meant to “mesh” with the gears of other pins. Each design aligns with the quality exhibited in each Forest Rose Productions projects.  Every pledge level earns an award starting at $5 with the highest level being $340.  The campaign can be accessed through https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jcjjones/smartly-sophisticated-enamel-lapel-pins.

Designed by Jan C. J. Jones, the pins will be of special interest to those familiar with Jones’ creations housed within the “Strange Journey” project that began with a two (2) hour-long audio drama and its adapted graphic novel.  Jones said, “I’ve created “Smartly Sophisticated Elegant Enamel Lapel Pins” for those who appreciate & embrace the Victorian Gothic (steampunk) genre & desire to immerse themselves in it. “Smartly Sophisticated Elegant Enamel Lapel Pins” intend to invite conversation and genteel (or robust) discussion.” Collaborative partner Zavier Bates of “Guiding Creations” is the campaign editor as well as its community manager.

The original story,  “A Journey with Strange Bedfellows” was written by Jones which was adapted from (or inspired by) immortal works penned by literary masters and re-introduces listeners to classic works.  It received a Mark Time Ogle Award for from HEAR Now: The Audio Fiction and Audio Arts Festival.  Audio samples and free downloadable “surprises” can be unearthed among the webpages at www.a-strange-journey.com.
