Highly Commended Status for John Fowler Holidays

John Fowler Holidays are delighted to announce that their Somerset holiday park has been declared Highly Commended by the Bristol Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards. Sandy Glade Holiday Park was entered in the Holiday Park of the Year category.

Although Sandy Glade was not selected as a finalist this year, the judging panel were suitably impressed by the holiday park and granted  them a Highly Commended certificate, John Fowler Holidays are thrilled to have won this award.

This year there were 111 entries in the Bristol Bath and Somerset awards and 644 across the South West. Judges were looking for evidence not just of ‘good’ but of ‘excellent’. To be Highly Commended, given the level of competition, is a very significant achievement.

Park manager Warren Friend attended the ceremony and collected the award which was presented to him by Marcus Trescothick, Somerset and ex England Cricketer.

“What a wonderful experience and a great accolade for Sandy Glade to be awarded a Highly commended certificate by the Somerset Tourism board, one of only three awards For the whole of the Holiday Park sector.” said Warren, Sandy Glade park manager.

“I believe this has been achieved by the backing of a great team, sheer hard work and Determination. The future is bright and next year we will be pushing for the top honour. Thank you to all at Sandy Glade and John Fowler Holidays for your support and assistance.”
