The Timothy S.Y. Lam Foundation (TSYLF) is pleased to announce the publishing of its most recent white paper: “The increasing importance of the use of innovative technology to improve key aspects of luxury service in the hospitality industry.”  The paper was written by TSYLF Travel Grant recipient Andrew Nunn who traveled to the Nightclub and Bar Show 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, in March of this year.

Producing a white paper is one of the requirements to receive $500 to $2,000 in reimbursements for registration, travel and lodging to a hospitality related conference.  Students, instructors and industry professionals are qualified to apply for travel grants.

Travel grants allow those in the field to meet with other professionals and speak about the industry.  Attending industry conferences promotes fellowship and affords hospitality professionals access to educational seminars, networking opportunities and research ideas.

“This travel grant opportunity makes it possible for individuals who might not otherwise have been able to afford to travel to conferences to do so,” said Ellen Lam, President of the Timothy SY Lam Foundation.  “The resulting white papers also benefit the advancement of the hospitality industry as a whole.”

The TSYLF Travel Grant is part of the Lam Foundation’s commitment to supporting individuals in the hospitality industry.  For more information on the grant requirements, submission schedule and to download an application, visit www.timothysylam.org.  Visit https://www.timothysylam.org/past-grants to read the white paper.
