Meet the Mission White Lake Presbyterian Church Fall Festival: Supporting Food for Friends Pantry

White Lake, MI (PRUnderground) September 12, 2025

With just a few weeks until the Fall Festival Fundraiser – Free Family Fun Day on Saturday, October 4, White Lake Presbyterian Church turns the spotlight on the real star of the show: the Food for Friends Pantry.

Launched through the dream of Pastor Debbie Lennis, with support from her husband R.J., church members, and community volunteers, this pantry has become “a bridge between assistance and hunger” in the White Lake area.  Since opening in March 2021, it has already provided food and nourishment to over 200 individuals in need.

The pantry offers a streamlined one-time application; just a simple form for their records and no one is denied assistance.  Pick-up is available on the second Saturday (10 a.m.–Noon) and fourth Thursday (4–6 p.m.) each month.

The October 4 festival isn’t just fun—it’s crucial. Every donated non-perishable item or dollar raised at the event goes directly to sustaining Food for Friends. By participating, guests help expand access to essential support and food security for vulnerable residents.

Join us at White Lake Presbyterian Church in celebrating a cause that embodies community compassion. Together, we can foster hope and nourishment—one delicious hot dog and heartfelt donation at a time. For more information, call 248-887-4654.
