ISO 27001:2013 is a comprehensive security management standard that specifies a set of best practices and controls across all areas of a business from leadership, planning, and support to operation practises. It is an internationally recognized standard and means as an organization we have; examined our information security risks, designed a set of security controls to mitigate these risk, adopted a management process that reviews these controls on an ongoing basis, conducted an internal audit of conformity and had an audit conducted by BSI to test for conformity.
