Spalding University Partners with Akademos to Launch New Online Bookstore

Spalding University, a private liberal arts institution in downtown Louisville, Ky., has partnered with Akademos to launch its new online bookstore. Strengthening their mission to meeting the needs of the times, Spalding’s diverse community of over 1800 students will have access to the largest selection of low-cost course materials beginning with the Summer 2020 semester.

For over 20 years, Akademos has been an industry leader in using technology to drive down the cost of textbooks and other materials. The course materials platform provides a streamlined, 24x7x365 shopping experience for students that is fully integrated with the University’s Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS). This provides each Spalding student with a completely personalized online platform to enable quick and easy ordering.

Additionally, powerful tools simplify the textbook adoption process for faculty allowing them to compare real-time prices and easily review and re-adopt materials from prior semesters. The analytics dashboard also provides administration with insights about student purchasing, utilization, and overall academic success.
