Spuntino Wine Bar’s Director of Operations Regan DeBenedetto Completes Court of Master Sommeliers America’s Introductory Sommelier Course

Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas announced today that their Director of Operations, Regan DeBenedetto, has successfully completed the prestigious Court of Master Sommeliers America’s Introductory Course. The Court of Master Sommeliers was established to encourage improved standards of beverage knowledge and service in hotels and restaurants. DeBenedetto has been a fan of fine wines ever since joining the Spuntino team over a decade ago.

“Completing this course has been an honor and career highlight,” said DeBenedetto. “Best of all, I can take what I have learned at the Court of Master Sommeliers and further enhance the guest experience at both our Spuntino Wine Bar and Italian Tapas locations.”

Recently, under DeBenedetto’s direction, both Spuntino restaurants – located in Clifton, NJ and Garden City, NY – have won “Best of Award of Excellence” in the 2022 Wine Spectator Magazine Restaurant Awards. The Best of Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants that excel in offering guests critically acclaimed selections from top producers and regions from around the world.

To celebrate the certification, DeBenedetto has launched an Instagram feed to showcase her latest wine finds and share her latest tips and suggestions.
