ThePIT-NYC.com has NYC’s Best Improv Classes - Now Online

The award-winning People’s Improv Theater (PIT) became digital after having to temporarily close its NYC spaces due to COVID-19. Now, over 4 months later, The PIT’s online classes are a flourishing program that provides students from all over the world with access to affordable comedic training. Ranging from single session workshops to full 8-week courses, classes cover a multitude of topics; from their award-winning improv classes, stand up & sketch writing, to even screenwriting, small group life-coaching, and one-on-one private lessons.

Taught by experienced PIT instructors, students from all over the world can gain access to a variety of comedic topics, and can even participate in live grad-show performances for their friends and family.

Class pricing ranges from $20 to $299, depending on the class duration. The PIT also offers free monthly class samplers on a first come first serve basis, and a multitude of scholarships. The PIT wishes to reaffirm and expand their commitment to making their spaces (online or in person) a place where all people, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, national origin, disability, veteran or military status, can express themselves and gather to experience the joy of comedy. Therefore, The PIT is offering a new ‘Access Scholarship’ designed for PIT Students from diverse backgrounds to have access to classes at no cost. Scholarships are based on class availability.

In this time of social distance, we have become even more disconnected. The PIT strives to be a place where all people can connect through joy & comedy, no matter the distance.
