Timeshare resales advertised on BuyaTimeshare.com are being reported during the month of March as sold despite the effects of the Coronavirus.
Evidence of timeshares being sold on the resale market can be seen on the homepage of the company’s website at https://www.buyatimeshare.com/ under the header Recent Sellers Who Found Buyers. Further sales can be seen through the Sold Timeshares button.
These timeshares are reported to BuyaTimeshare.com through a variety of sources such as title companies, closing companies, real estate brokers and the private owners advertising themselves, according to company President and CEO Wes Kogelman.
“As a for sale by-owner advertising company, one of the challenges over the years has been documenting sold timeshares, since sellers are not required to tell us when a timeshare has been sold. So we reached out to multiple sources to demonstrate our level of effectiveness in addition to the ongoing communication we maintain with our customers,” Kogelman said.
In March, 229 timeshares were reported as sold, which shows that the resale marketplace is still closing sales in the midst of the uncertainty regarding the virus.
“We realize that sometimes these sales were agreed to months before the actual closing took place, but buyers can always find a way out if they choose not to go through with the deal. So we are very pleased to see the number of timeshares that were reported,” added Kogelman.
