Torbay Regatta to host Red Arrows this August

A small rustic fishing town boasting fascinating local traditions, quaint little pubs and cafes, and a whole host of local activities and events to embrace, Brixham has cemented its status as one of the most desirable places to visit on your Devon holidays.

Just up the road from this fantastic coastal resort lies Torbay, widely regarded as the most vibrant and happening place in the South West and offering a helpful contrast for groups of all ages and interests.

One of the region’s main events that pulls in the numbers from far and wide is the Torbay Royal Regatta, and organisers have confirmed a very special guest will be attending this year’s occasion, which is the 199^th to take place.

The Red Arrows, a display team for the Royal Air Force, will be one of the highlights of the event, which is taking place between Saturday 25 August and Wednesday 29 August.

The popular aerial display team will be accompanied by a massive firework display, which organisers promise will continue the patriotic themes of the Olympic Games and paint the skies red, white and blue.
