Chicago, IL (PRUnderground) April 5th, 2026
Regional artist Russell Frantom has sold one of his most provocative and controversial pieces for $15,000, marking a significant milestone in his rising career.
The artwork, which has sparked intense debate within the local art community and online, was purchased by a private collector who wished to remain anonymous. Frantom, based in Chicago, is known for his daring style that often divides opinions but consistently generates discussion.
“The painting itself is actually haunted, as are a lot of my paintings, and I was happy to rid myself of it. I am using the extra money to move to Los Angeles” Says Frantom.
The artist is set to travel to Africa this August to capture and paint venomous snakes.
