Compton Rapper Matik2T Turns The Negative Into A Positive Through His Music

When people think of Compton, most think of gangs and violence as it is commonly exploited in movies and rap videos. However, hailing from the City of Compton, Matik2T is here to show the World the positive side of Compton. 

The name “MATIK2T” means Music Is All That I Know and 2T is the name of Matik’s record label. He truly defines the definition of an entrepreneur. Aside from being an artist, songwriter, and a performer, Matik is the co-owner of the label 2T Entertainment, a family run business. 

Matik has directed all of his positive attitude and his can’t stop, won’t stop mentality towards his music career. He prefers to have nothing but positive vibes around him at all times and that vibe reflects in his vocals as he spits positive messages throughout each of his songs. Heavily inspired from old school Motown and classic old school hip hop, his sound is, of course, west coast with a twist of positivity.

The advice Matik gives to his fans is to be passionate about something that you love in this world that we live in and go all the way in 100%, don’t quit even when times are tough. He goes on to state “Keep God close and at first he will keep you patient and then he will guide your steps, no one has control over you or God’s timing.”
