Confetti launches new remote & hybrid team building experiences for Women’s History Month

Industry: Events

Confetti, (https://www.withconfetti.com) which enables companies to book virtual team building experiences online - and which already counts companies that include HubSpot, Netflix, Shopify and Vimeo among its users - is launching new experiences to enable employers to support their DE&I commitments during Women’s History Month this coming month.

New York, NY (PRUnderground) February 28th, 2023

Events being offered include Exploring Women In Art, during which participants will uncover hidden backstories and little known facts about popular art installations made by women through pictures and storytelling; Women of Black Broadway, which showcases the rich musical heritage of U Street — or Black Broadway — from jazz to hip hop and punk to go-go, and Women’s History Trivia, in which a live Quiz Host guides contestants through up to four rounds of Women’s Trivia. Also available are a Black Women In Cinema class; Women’s History JeopartyWomen In Cacao Chocolate Tasting, and a Frida Kahlo Headband Making Class. Other experiences will be added in the coming weeks.

McKinsey’s ‘Women In The Workplace’ report, published in October, set out how women are demanding more from work and are leaving their companies in unprecedented numbers to get it. Women leaders are switching jobs at the highest rates ever seen, which could have serious implications for companies. Women are also significantly underrepresented in leadership, with all of these dynamics even more pronounced for women of color.

“In September, Fortune Magazine reported that the percentage of the US workforce that were women was 58.4%, which meant the U.S. labor force had lost 1.067 million women since February 2020,” explains Lee Rubin, CEO and founder of Confetti.

“Employers need to create inclusive work cultures where women’s careers thrive, and their contributions and achievements are celebrated and recognized by all their colleagues. Doing something special for Women’s History Month is one way of making that statement to your team.”

Companies booking events through the Confetti platform will find experiences that aren’t purely “celebratory”, but which also deliver a level of education and information.

“These experiences delve into the story behind Women’s History Month, giving teams a better understanding of exactly what they’re celebrating and why it’s so important,” says Lee.

“On top of making women feel equal and valued in the workplace, companies can see how it helps all of their employees to better connect and empathize with their team,” she adds.
