Crowdfunding Platform in Detroit Raises Funds to Honor Aitzaz Hasan
Honoring a Pakistani teen who tackled a suicide bomber, losing his life but saving many others in the process.

Last Monday Aitzaz Hasan Bangash, a Pakistani teen chased a suicide bomber who had planned to bomb his school in Ibrahimzai, Pakistan. In the processes of catching him, the bomb exploded killing them both, but saving the lives of over 2,000 students in the school.
“My son made his mother cry, but saved hundreds of mothers from crying for their children” says Mujahid Ali, Aitzaz’s father.
Hundreds of Twitter users have been paying tribute to Aitzaz online by sharing his story and commending his bravery.
“Too often Muslims are vilified in the media, but these selfless role models such as Aitzaz and Malala Yousafzai break through and are able to reach hearts across the world.
