Dive Ninjas announce new PADI Instructor Development Center and courses in Cabo San Lucas that focus on helping students learn to work in sustainable and ecotourism.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (PRUnderground) December 22nd, 2020

Dive Ninja Expeditions has announced a new PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Center in Los Cabos, Mexico set to open in early 2021. As pioneers in sustainable marine tourism, Dive Ninjas will offer a unique IDC program that focuses on helping instructor candidates learn to work in sustainable and ecotourism, giving them the tools they need to be able to start on the right path to working in tourism and protecting our oceans no matter where their life takes them.

Dive Ninja Expeditions released their Ninja PADI Divemaster program earlier this year and it has been a success amidst the pandemic. “Now that our Ninja Divemaster program is up and running, our focus has been on designing a unique PADI Instructor Development Course program that matches it. We spent this year designing the Ninja IDC program as the logical next step for dive pros looking to make a positive impact on the oceans that give us so much,” said conservationist and Dive Ninja founder Jay Clue.

Dive Ninjas has chosen former PADI Regional Manager and Instructor Examiner, Anders Heegaard, to lead their program. Anders is a PADI Platinum Course Director, bringing over 20 years of experience to their IDC program as well as a wealth of knowledge in growing and establishing PADI GoPro programs. “The Dive Ninjas IDC and GoPro Programs will be something different than any program out there by heavily incorporating ocean conservation programs at instructor levels while giving the same high-quality PADI IDC training that the organization is famous for,” said Heegaard.

The Ninja IDC program stands apart not only from others in the area but most in the world in that its expanded curriculum helps instructor candidates develop the tools and understanding to better protect our planet’s oceans and their inhabitants. It includes additional workshops on conservation such as Dive Ninjas own PADI Whale Defender distinctive specialty course, workshops on shark and ray tourism taught by shark scientist, Dr Frida Lara, as well as other marine scientists actively working on research in Baja, programs on creating sustainable tourism projects, links to their partner programs with Project AWARE, introductions to freediving, tec, & sidemount diving, and much more.

“Through this program, we want to continue our mission of showing the world that tourism can be utilized to not only support marine conservation and research; but to protect the incredible animals and ecosystems responsible for making millions of divers around the world flock to the ocean every year,” shared Clue.

The full curriculum and details of Dive Ninjas’ PADI Instructor & GoPro programs will be released in January 2021 to coincide with the grand opening of their second location at Casa Dorada, a renowned 5 star hotel located on Medano Beach in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
