Industry: Advertising & Marketing

Chicago-based graphic design, branding, and integrated marketing firm NeigerDesign has hired two new full-time employees for 2014.

Chicago, IL (PRUnderground) March 4th, 2014

Chicago-based graphic design, branding, and integrated marketing firm NeigerDesign has hired two new full-time employees for 2014. Nevena Peeva, a graphic designer from Sofia, Bulgaria, and Ashley Batton, a marketing professional from East Lansing, Michigan, were hired this year to round out an already diverse and talented group.

“Our employees have natural creativity, unique skills and talents, and interests outside of work and Nevena and Ashley are no exception.” President and Founder Carol Neiger said, “At NeigerDesign, we strive to create an environment that fosters both excellence in design and the personal passions of our employees. It is a symbiotic relationship between the two, and I believe that one supports the other.”

Peeva received her a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Georgia State University, where she also played volleyball on a full scholarship. Her diverse background with companies like CNN and Toolbox N.9 in Atlanta gave her a unique perspective on modern web design. She finds inspiration in designing and making clothing.

Batton graduated from Michigan State University where she studied Public Relations and Political Theory. She honed her writing, social media marketing, and content marketing skills while working for the Governor of the State of Michigan, and will bring these skills to NeigerDesign and its clients. Ashley’s passions are writing and playing guitar.

NeigerDesign has grown steadily and consistently throughout its 25-year history by staying on the cutting edge of design. They have worked with companies ranging from small businesses and startups, to non-profits and international organizations such as Kraft Foods and Walgreens. Their projects range from design consultation, working on identity development for small businesses and startups, to comprehensive and challenging rebrands of organizations like the International Facility Management Association and Northwestern University’s Center for Genetic Medicine.

Recently, NeigerDesign rebranded the Chicago non-profit Anixter Center, whose mission is to provide increased assistance and community involvement for people living with disabilities. Despite being one of the largest non-profits in the area, its numerous mergers and acquisitions lead to a fragmented brand identity. Through the use of all stakeholders as “citizen branders” and results-focused design, NeigerDesign was able to significantly increase recognition of Anixter Center and its subdivisions and create a truly connected brand identity.

“We’re always looking for ways to gain a deeper understanding of our clients.” Neiger said, “Both Nevena and Ashley use strategic design processes to help them solve problems and bring a variety of skills to the table that will enable our clients to reach their goals in innovative new ways.”
