The Edge is joining forces with the Sampson Family Foundation and other community partners now until November 20th to host a Thanksgiving food drive in Harrisonburg.

Season of Giving: Food Drive
Horizons Edge Sports Campus is joining forces with the Sampson Family Foundation and other community partners to host a Thanksgiving food drive in Harrisonburg and all surrounding areas. From now until November 20th, residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food and personal items at various collection locations.
The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank will use the donations to provide Thanksgiving food baskets to local families in need. During the holidays, food items like peanut butter, jelly, canned meats (e.g. tuna and chicken) and other staples, like pasta and canned soup, are in high demand. Personal care items (deodorant, sanitary supplies, soap) are also appreciated.
Ray Ellington, General Manager of Horizons Edge made the following statement: “The Edge along with community partners like the Sampson Family Foundation, strive to take an active role in supporting our community. With employees and participants all over the Valley, this opportunity to give back to those in the communities that we serve brings us great joy.” The goal of the food drive is to collect over 1,000 lbs. of food.

The Horizons Edge Sports Campus is a one-stop destination for sports, events, banquets, meetings, tradeshows, parties, overnight camps, and much more. The field house consists of approximately 90,000 sq. ft. and includes 4-basketball courts, 6-volleyball courts, multipurpose/indoor soccer field, climbing wall and a family entertainment center. Outdoor facilities include a regulation size multipurpose/soccer lighted artificial turf field.
