Emerging Minds Est. has become a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), which is a designation granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations who complete an advanced autism-specific training and certification program through IBCCES.

Emerging Minds Est. staff is made up of an interdisciplinary team with a focus on helping children, adolescents, adults and families with autism and other neurodevelopmental challenges. They offer services such as behavioral intervention and consultation, speech therapy, occupational therapy, parent coaching and more.

“We are very proud to share with you that our center is a Certified Autism Center™ from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards. 80% of our dedicated professionals and paraprofessionals hold an Advanced Autism Certificate or are Advanced Certified Autism Specialists,” said Clinical Director of Emerging Minds Est., Véronique Chiasson. “It was very important for us, a center located in Ontario, to obtain this certification so that our clients can be confident of our commitment toward continuing education and offering the highest standards of practice.”

Recently, team members from Emerging Minds Est. also completed IBCCES’ Board Certified Telepractice Specialist program to ensure continuity of services during COVID-19 and beyond. This additional certification provides the staff with teletherapy best practices from experts in the field.

For more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, and corporate professionals around the globe. IBCCES provides evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with its board of clinical and subject matter experts, as well as individuals with autism, to provide professionals serving individuals with cognitive disorders a better understanding of what these disorders are, industry best practices, varied perspectives, and the latest research in these areas.

“IBCCES is thrilled to work with Emerging Minds Est. to build upon their team’s expertise and ensure they have specialized training to help as many families and individuals as possible,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman.

IBCCES also created CertifiedAutismCenter.com, as a free online resource for parents that lists certified locations and professionals. Each organization listed on the site has met Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) requirements.
