Pastry Chef and Bartender Teasha Chestnut Announces Launch of Sugarholic Desserts – A Fusion Of Dessert Meets Alcohol

Pastry chef and bartender Teasha Chestnut is announcing the launch of Sugarholic Desserts – a fusion of dessert meets alcohol.

Chestnut uses quality ingredients and top of the line spirits in this signature line of handcrafted desserts. “These desserts are innovative, in that they do more than add booze to baked goods as a gimmick,” she says, “Rather, Sugarholic Desserts use alcohol as a flavor enhancer and elevated epicurean event.”

Sugarholic Desserts’ breakthrough star, “The Caketini,” is a one-of-a-kind creation of decadent infused cake layers and boozy homemade icing nestled deliciously inside of a reusable keepsake martini shaker. Each Caketini comes with a specialty drink recipe card, which allows customers to extend their experience long after their last bite. “With this fusion, you can have your drink and eat it too!”

Chestnut says she was birthed into a lineage of culinary creatives, and for her whole life she’s wanted to own a bakery. Formally trained at Le Cordon Bleu, the single mother was a student by day and bartender by night, crafting drinks on the world famous Las Vegas Strip. “The Vegas nightlife introduced me to a whole new world of cocktails I never knew existed,” she says.

Through merging her culinary education with her bartending craft, Chestnut found her passion in meticulously matching spirits into her baking and creating one-of-a-kind dessert experiences. “The proof is in every bite!”

Chestnut is committed to giving back to the Black community, and to Black women in particular. “Everything related to my branding, including the logo and photography, is done by a Black woman,” she says, “It’s already a struggle for Black people in professional realms, and Black women are a double minority. That’s why I prioritize working with people who look like me.”
