Industry: Healthcare

State National has partnered with Total Wellness to administer the Moderna vaccine to employees and their families, cost-free and in-house.

Bedford, TX (PRUnderground) May 10th, 2021

The Moderna vaccine to protect against COVID-19 is being offered by State National to employees and their family members onsite at the company’s Bedford, TX, headquarters. Outside health vendor Total Wellness, in conjunction with the Tarrant County Department of Health, administered the first dose of the vaccine on May 5 with the second dose to be given on June 2.

“Our employees and their wellbeing are top of mind for us,” said Matt Freeman, State National’s President and CEO. “Throughout this pandemic, we have made a tremendous effort to exercise caution and listen to the experts. We have done our part to help stop the spread and protect one another, and this effort is another step forward. I am extremely proud of the teamwork and dedication each of our employees has exhibited during this season.”

Offering the COVID-19 vaccine onsite is part of State National’s larger initiative to keep its employees safe and healthy as they transition from working from home to a hybrid work environment in June. Precautions to keep employees safe include: the cleaning of high-traffic zones multiple times a day, including wiping down surfaces that may be touched more frequently; upgraded air filters and ultraviolet lights that capture additional dust particles to improve the quality of air within the facility; requiring all employees to wear a mask when they are in the office and not at their desk; adding prominent signage throughout the building to remind staff of social distancing and hygiene guidelines; increased availability of automatic hand sanitizer stations in high-traffic zones; limiting and monitoring the number of employees who are in the office each day; and many other in-office safety measures, all following CDC guidelines and recommendations.

“We want to make sure all employees feel safe returning to the office at some capacity,” said Kimberlee Yates, State National’s VP of Human Resources. “By offering a COVID-19 vaccine to employees and their loved ones, combined with implementing and continuing to execute various safety measures, we can slowly and cautiously transition our teams back into the office.”

State National regularly offers onsite wellness support to employees. The company has routinely provided flu vaccinations and health and wellness fairs, available during work hours. State National recognizes the importance of protecting employees’ health and safety and of limiting any negative impact on its business partners and policyholders.
