The Black Box™ Celebrates First Delivery of Subscriptions Since Relaunch, Spotlighting Black-Owned Businesses Nationwide

Industry: Advertising & Marketing

Why This First Delivery Matters

Glendale, AZ (PRUnderground) October 7th, 2025

As conversations around racial equity, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment take center stage in 2025, The Black Box™ has made a bold return to spotlight the innovation and creativity of Black-owned businesses. First launched in 2019 by entrepreneur Talei Hornback, The Black Box™ quickly became a cultural phenomenon, delivering curated products from Black-owned brands directly to consumers’ doorsteps, before pausing operations during the pandemic. Now, with subscriptions reaching doorsteps again, the brand marks a major milestone in its mission to empower and uplift Black entrepreneurship.

“This first delivery is a powerful reminder of why The Black Box exists,” said Hornback. “Black culture drives global culture, yet Black businesses still face barriers to visibility and scale. Seeing these boxes in the hands of our subscribers once again means our innovation, creativity, and excellence are not just celebrated—they’re supported in real time.”

A Cultural Shift In Motion

The timing of The Black Box’s first shipment since relaunch couldn’t be more significant. Recent studies show that Black entrepreneurs receive less than 2% of venture funding, despite contributing over $200 billion annually to the U.S. economy. Meanwhile, the cultural impact of Black creators continues to shape global trends in beauty, fashion, food, and wellness.

With this delivery, The Black Box™ demonstrates how everyday consumers can be part of the solution—bridging access, audience, and economic empowerment for Black-owned businesses.

What’s Inside

Subscribers to The Black Box received a curated collection of products from emerging and established Black-owned brands, offering a mix of beauty, lifestyle, and wellness items. Each product was chosen to highlight innovation and excellence while ensuring that every purchase directly supports small business owners. Past Black Box collections have been featured on notable platforms including BuzzFeed and Harper’s Bizarre, embraced by lifestyle influencers, and celebrated across major media platforms.

Future subscribers can choose between:

-Quarterly Subscriptions — Delivering a curated collection of Black-owned products every season.

-Single-Purchase Boxes — A flexible option for one-time gifting or personal discovery.

More Than a Box

The first delivery since relaunch reaffirms The Black Box’s mission: to be more than a subscription, but a platform for storytelling and cultural connection. Each box includes brand profiles and stories, giving subscribers a behind-the-scenes look at the entrepreneurs shaping the future of Black enterprise.

Hornback notes, “Every delivery is a chance to build a collective community of supporters who not only buy Black but champion the resilience and creativity of Black entrepreneurs.”
