UL spent significant dollars investing in civil engineering project based research to develop UL Caulk-JF (Jet Fuel).
UL Caulk-JF is a jet fuel resistant polyurethane caulking sealant designed to repair cracks and joints in concrete infrastructures such as runways and parking aprons. “This product opens doors with large engineering firms we have a relationship with to fill their niche requirements,” said John E. Jamroz, Vice Presidents of Sales and Marketing of UL. According to Bureau of Transportation statistics, there are over 19,000 runways in the United States the sealant can be applied to. Available in 750 mL cartridges, 10 gallon kits up to 250 gallon totes, this non-toxic sealant has been scientifically engineered to remain flexible during exposure to extreme weather elements. “With a diversified offering of application technology this product can be used by maintenance providers with a simple pneumatic gun,” said Jamroz. The UL Caulk-JF conforms to Federal Specification SS-S-200E required for all airfield applications.
