Bandsagger claimed the inaugural Big Dog championship, defeating Bbelzgolf 2&1 in a head-to-head Finals between two of the top-10 sim golfers in the world. More than $11,000 in prize money was distributed across the season.

Season 1 Results: The Numbers Behind the Milestone

Season 1 of the Big Dog established a new standard for competitive simulator golf:

• $11,000+ in total prize money distributed
• 8 players advanced from the regular season to the postseason Matchplay bracket
• $1,000 on the line per Matchplay match — every hole, every shot, under real stakes
• Inaugural Finals: Bandsagger def. Bbelzgolf 2&1 to claim the first Big Dog championship

The Matchplay bracket format was deliberately chosen to strip away the comfort of leaderboard golf. There is no hiding behind a single good round. Players compete head-to-head, hole by hole, with a real dollar figure on every match — a format that exposes the best and rewards only the most complete competitors.

• $150 per player to compete in Gross Division or Net Division
• $200 per player to compete in both Gross and Net Divisions
• Gross Division players are eligible for the postseason

Schedule:

• 12 tournaments (18 holes each)
• May 19 – September 14, 2026
• New tournament opens every week throughout the season
• Postseason for Gross Division players begins August 18, 2026

Format: Modified Stableford — a format that rewards aggressive, attacking golf and separates players who play to win from those who play not to lose.

Purse: $5,000 and growing.
