Mishka Dehgha – Vice President, 5G Development: Sprint Business

Mishka is vice president of 5G development for Sprint Business, responsible for the development of a portfolio of 5G-enabled solutions for the business segment. In addition, Mishka also leads the B2B integration efforts for the merger with T-Mobile.

In her 5G role, Mishka is responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering innovative solutions that will bring the power of 5G advancements to business customers and transform society.  She works closely with Sprint Internet-of-Things (IoT) group to bring the complementary strengths of 5G and IoT to create applications and use cases that will become tomorrow’s standards.

Terry Young – Director 5G Marketing: A10 Networks

Terry Young is the Director of 5G Marketing at A10 Networks. She is responsible for driving messaging, strategy and sales enablement programs that articulate A10 Networks’ 5G business value for mobile network operators and other service providers.

Prior to A10 Networks, Young led mobile network product marketing at Palo Alto Networks. Among her previous roles, she was at AT&T (mobile and fixed businesses), where she developed market strategy recommendations for new business initiatives. Young also served as a principal analyst for Healy and Co. early in the 3G technology introduction and her 3G/4G market analysis and forecasts were regularly published by the UMTS Forum. She has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and holds an MBA from Arizona State University.

Randall Schwartz – Founder: Wireless 20/20

Randall Schwartz has been a key participant in the broadband wireless market for the last 25 years.  He is the founder of Wireless 20/20, a leading broadband wireless consulting group and the developer of the award-winning WiROI Business Case tool.  The Wireless20/20 group has helped operators around the world develop winning strategies for broadband wireless, and create opportunities to maximize profit.

Schwartz has led development projects with over 150 operators around the world, helping clients by developing business cases, supporting wireless technology strategy for network development, and build network deployment plans.  Wireless 20/20 has successfully helped operators build plans for deploying networks with 3G, LTE, LTE Advanced, 5G, IOT, fixed wireless, WiFi and other broadband wireless technologies.

Jefferson Wang – Accenture 5G Offering Lead: Accenture

For nearly two decades, Jefferson has guided business & technology innovation at the convergence of the Communications, Media and Tech industries. He is Accenture’s Global 5G Offering co-lead, helping clients define 5G strategies and use cases to adapt to Standalone 5G, small cells, edge compute, and wifi-cellular convergence to create new business models and revenue streams. Jefferson focused on the wireless & mobility industry his entire career. He works with network operators, OEMs, equipment providers, content owners, and tech players to create executable growth strategies through the e2e product life-cycle.

Jefferson built businesses on his belief that success comes from big picture thinking mixed with detail-oriented execution. His ability to identify new patterns in technology has helped his clients thrive in changing ecosystems. He works with global leaders to break down complex problems into compelling stories, define a roadmap of use cases, create innovative business models and build/scale new businesses.

As wireless mobility reshapes lives, 5G will infuse itself in new industries, enabling innovation. Jefferson has led 5G growth opportunities, XR consumer and B2B strategy, IoT product development and the enablement of AI/ML into the collision course between the future home, autonomous vehicles and smart cities.

Prior to Accenture, he helped lead a communications convergence start-up to a successful exit. He is a regular speaker at Mobile World Congress and CES and has appeared on CNN and Mobile World Live TV. His perspectives are featured regularly in publications that include The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Fortune, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Wired and BGR.

Jefferson will be speaking on Big Data analytics in 5G. With the dawn of 5G promising enabled intelligent network and application services with connectivity to remote sensors, big data analytics will be at the forefront of the evolution of 5G standards. Sinan Akkaya – Director of RAN Engineering: AT&T Mobility

Sinan is a senior leader in technology with over 20 years of successful engineering, management and leadership experience specialized in access networks, enterprise infrastructure build-out\operations, technology implementation with an emphasis on innovative trials and product development with foundries and VCs.

He also has global experience in management and technology consultancy to telecom carriers, OEMs and large enterprises.

Sinan will be exploring the topic of Massive IoT and the 5G revolution. This talk will look at how the combination of Massive IoT and new 5G technology will improve both the connectivity speed and coverage to drive IoT to achieve its full potential. Ali Imran William H. Barkow Presidential Professor: The University of Oklahoma

Dr. Ali Imran has over 15 years of experience in telecom and AI. He is founding director of AI4Networks Research Lab (www.ai4networks.com) at the University of Oklahoma. AI4networks was the first academic Lab in the world to start the research on zero touch deep network automation. The lab is currently host to TurboRAN (https://bsonlab.com/TurboRAN/ ) testbed and numerous multinational R&D projects on AI for wireless networks. Dr. Imran is also co-founder of a startup AISON (www.aison.co ) that has launched world’s first deep AI enabled RAN automation and performance optimization solution currently being evaluated by several operators around the world for its game changing gains over current SON paradigm.

Dr Imran’s research on AI enabled wireless networks has played pioneering role in this emerging area and has been supported by over $4M in nationally and internationally competitive research grants. He has published over 100 refereed journal and conference papers and has several patents granted and pending. His work includes some of the most influential publications in the area of mobile network automation.  The impact of his work on network automation has been recognized by several prestigious awards such as VPR Outstanding International Impact Award at the University of Oklahoma, 2018, IEEE Green ICT YP International award 2017, and best paper award IEEE CAMAD 2013.  In 2018 he has been named William H. Barkow Presidential Professor at the University of Oklahoma for his contributions to this field.
