Local Miami Charity, The Virgin Mary Foundation, creates “Baggy Program” to provide Foster Cares with Essentials for kids and teenagers

The Virgin Mary Foundation inaugurated their Baggy Program. The Baggy Program consists in providing duffle bags filled with essentials for children and teenagers in the foster care system.

The Virgin Mary Foundation inaugurated their Baggy Program by donating 20 equipped duffle bags to the His House Children’s Home for the incoming children and teenagers of December in the foster system.
Since 2018, The Virgin Mary Foundation has served the community and helped foster cares in Miami in various ways. In early December 2021, they inaugurated their Baggy Donation along their first sponsor for this program, Truist Personal Banking.
A group the Truist personnel joined members of The Virgin Mary Foundation at the Biltmore Hotel where they all prepared the duffle bags in order to be taken to His House Children’s home.
The Baggy Program consists in using the donations from the community to be able to create duffle bags and fill them with PJS, socks, underwear, shower gel, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, journals and pens, blankets and any other care item and donate them to foster cares.
“Our aim is to provide a little sense of hope and belonging to the kids, despite their difficult times, to know and believe they are loved!” States Indiana Saccasa, spokesperson for the foundation.
The Virgin Mary Foundation aims to be able to donate more duffle bags this 2022 through the Baggy Donation Program and is looking forward in partnering with local community, organizations and companies in order to continue making this program successful.
The Virgin Mary Foundation offers support children and teenagers in foster care organizations and other similar institutions through special project requests and direct support to single parents and pregnant mothers in challenging situations.
