Find Your Power (FYP) is challenging the status quo.
The Founder and CEO of FYP, Ivy Kaminsky, believes, “When we empower a woman, we empower a community.” Starting with South Africa, and building from there, the goal is to connect underrepresented women with resources that further education, advocacy, community, and employment. The website will help build purposeful connections between women as they further their knowledge of education, health, mentorship, employment, housing, safety, business training, inspiration, nonprofit, service, and community organizations.

The Find Your Power Solution
Women make up 70% of the world’s poor population, and remain poorer than men in all racial and ethnic groups. Find Your Power aims to change that.
This is done primarily through a resource and information sharing website, secondarily by engaging local women to increase internet usage among their communities, and lastly by establishing strategic partnerships. Efforts will begin in the United States by engaging local organizations, establishing a network through home parties, while simultaneously testing and building the resource website. Once the website is built, efforts will be moved to South Africa. Once established in South Africa, Find Your Power will expand into other developing countries through a franchise and fiscal sponsorship model.
Capital Campaign
Find Your Power is currently in the midst of their first crowdfunding campaign, #FundYourPower. The proceeds from the campaign, which began November 1, 2016, will help build a resource database on the website, establish infrastructure within a network of related organizations, and ease the transition into working with local women to engage their communities with internet access and resources. According to Ivy Kaminsky, Founder and CEO, “Through #FundYourPower, we will be able to continue to serve our mission, raise awareness for, and get people on board with our cause.”
