A takeoff from Michael Jackson’s worldwide hit, Thriller, The Cretan Thriller is a parody about The Prime Minister of Greece hosting a fictional third and most powerful dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in order to support worldwide vaccination initiatives, then experiencing zombies and a host of paranormal phenomenon all around him.

Producers George Balothiaris and Gogo Verigou say the action takes place on Crete, a beautiful, picturesque island, whose inhabitants in this story constantly surprise with their ingenuity and temperament. Of course in the story nothing goes as planned, and the events are both hilarious and shocking. “We worked with the locals on Crete,” Balothiaris says, ”many of whom were eager to play the part of zombies.”
The video garnered hundreds of thousands of views on Facebook within just a few days, and has already reached 500,000 views, going viral across Greece. The producers have already conducted numerous media interviews with leading television stations, radio outlets and newspapers in Greece.
Summer In Crete, or Kalokairi Sto Noto, is an annual radio production now in its eighteenth year!
