Elephant Insurance signs on as first partner, sponsors 100 miles of highway

Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation is proud to share its partnership with Beautify Virginia, a statewide initiative with the Virginia Department of Transportation. The program encourages sponsors to keep Virginia highways clean and safe.
Elephant Insurance, a Richmond, Virginia-based auto insurance company with a presence in eight states in the United States, is the first sponsor for the Virginia program. Elephant and Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation also collaborate on statewide initiatives in Texas and Indiana. In the past year, the partnership led to over 671 miles of highway being cleaned.

Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation is looking to partner with potential sponsors, like Elephant, who are passionate about safe driving, litter prevention and the environment.

All major highways throughout the commonwealth are part of the Beautify Virginia program. Roadside signage is placed on the right shoulder of the highway in every segment of sponsored road, facing traffic, to ensure that travelers see the segment’s litter removal sponsor.
