Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation® Celebrates Earth Day While Cleaning Up the Community

Industry: Advertising & Marketing

Giving back to the environment this Earth Day is a top priority for the team at Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation®.

CA (PRUnderground) April 29th, 2021

It all started during the pandemic when the Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation® (AHMC) crew members received clearance to begin cleaning the highways again. Supervisors across the country were reporting unusually littered highways filled with containers, cups, masks, etc.

After doing a little research, the team at the corporate headquarters was astonished to find that the litter issue across the United States had become unbearable. Article after article confirmed increased litter throughout the country.

With a desire to give back to the environment, the remote sales team worked together to find out how they could do their part in their home state. It’s time to introduce you to the team members that became the stars of AHMC’s Earth Day 2021 initiative.

Megan Yindra works remotely from North Carolina and has been with AHMC for five years. Caring about litter in her home state, she decided it was time to do her part. As she puts it, “I love working for AHMC because I believe in the work we do for both our sponsors and the community at large.”

To support the volunteer sector, Megan reached out to the North Carolina Department of Transportation to see where she can help out her community and perform litter-removal services within the city limits. On Saturday, April 24th, she set out to clean one of her favorite places to go running, The American Tobacco Trail.

States away, the remote sales team in Texas wanted to do their part as well. Vincent Nguyen, who has been with the company for three years, gave back to his local community by participating with Keep Mesquite Beautiful. Vince says, “I love working for a company that not only keeps the highways safe but encourages us to give back to local communities as well.”

Additionally, Jeff Flowers, who has been working remotely in Austin, Texas for three years, participated in a cleanup in Houston while visiting family. “Setting an example for my family to give back to the community and keep the environment clean is important to me. That is why I appreciate that AHMC creates a business model that allows the environment to thrive.”

We must all do our part to keep the environment cleaner and safer for the community.
