American Sentinel University Names Dr. William Tammone as Chief Academic Officer and Senior Vice President, Strategy and Innovation

American Sentinel University today announced the appointment of Dr. William Tammone as Chief Academic Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Innovation.

As Chief Academic Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, Dr. Tammone will contribute to the overall academic performance of the university and ensure continued academic integrity of its programs. He will focus on assessment of programs, innovation in the development of its Empowered Classroom™ concept and its (non-degree) workforce knowledge programs.

Dr. Tammone has more than 20 years of experience as a higher education administrator and was most recently the Provost and Vice President for the Learning Unit at Macomb Community College in Macomb County, Michigan. Prior to that he was the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of the Colorado Community College System, that includes 13 colleges. He also has significant accreditation experience with the Higher Learning Commission having been involved with the commission since 1997. Dr. Tammone holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology, and a Master of Science in human biology and medicine from the University of Chicago, and a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in history and philosophy of science from Indiana University.
