Norwalk, CT (PRUnderground) June 8th, 2020
Govil recently created a new microsite on all things related to kayaking, located at https://www.anoukgovilkayaking.com/, and the site now features a page titled “Best Places to Kayak in CA.” Govil said he decided to create the page because California provides both challenging and exciting rapids for seasoned whitewater kayakers. At the same time, the state offers several flatwater routes that are ideal for newbie paddlers.
The new Web page provides a glimpse at popular California kayaking sites such as Lake Sabrina, the Channel Islands, Lake Sonoma, and Monterey Bay. According to Govil, Lake Sabrina stands out in the state for its clear waters, whereas the Channel Islands draw many kayakers due to their sea caves. Govil further emphasized the relaxing nature of Lake Sonoma and the variety of wildlife present at Monterey Bay.
In addition to calling attention to California’s outstanding kayaking spots, Govil uses his microsite to provide the latest tips and advice related to the sport of kayaking. For instance, he provides pointers on what viewers should do in the event of a kayaking emergency. In addition, the microsite offers a rundown on dangers that kayakers should not ignore, as well as some tips for those who are new to kayaking.
Anouk Govil, who grew up in Colorado, created the microsite due to his passion for the outdoors—and especially for kayaking—which developed at a young age. However, in addition to kayaking, he has experience with canoeing and camping with his parents. Govil now operates a quaint store that sells and rents out outdoor equipment and sport gear, including kayaking equipment. He said he looks forward to continuing to inspire people to experience the beauty of kayaking in the years ahead.
