Answering Demand From Cruise Ship Owners VNS International Debuts CARES Solution

VNS International CARES Solution is an add on to PMEDSS to help Cruise Lines, Resorts and other businesses interact with guests and staff in real time while maintaining a safe distance.

CARES stands for Communication, Administration, Reports, and Education Solution. It is a much in-demand addition to the existing PMEDSS system and is designed to help these industries deal with the world’s current circumstances.

C: Stands for Communication. CARES runs on Smart phones, tablets, kiosks or VNS’ web portal. The solution allows guests on premises to order from anywhere on the property from the menu of the different restaurants on board or order drinks from any bar without having to wait for a server to pass by or to be on location. It also lets guests communicate among the members of their party or with the assigned staff member instantaneously via integrated chat, SMS, or messaging. The application also permits upper management to get analytical reports and send push messages as needed.

Next is Administration. This integrates with the PMEDS Survey system so guests can take surveys as they become available in their profile. Assigned Staff can review their daily tasks, such as cleaning assignments, guest requests, schedules, etc., and update statuses as tasks are completed. Time tracking administrative functions allows staff to check in and check out. Other admin highlights include its Watchmen’s log, Order Entry, and State room service requests.

Reporting functions cover Wait time for venues; venues menu; tasks status report; a Daily Planner, and a very valuable guest cabin report card allowing the guests to review how well their cabin was prepared what time it was completed and its availabity.

The CARES Education element aids in keeping track of staff training plan and online workshops

CARES solution is capable of integration with legacy systems such as Guest Management, POS, Door Lock systems, and Guess/Staff Location.
