Hailing from Watts, California native August Cole is excited to release her debut single and music video titled M.A.O.

Produced by Shawn Diggy, M.A.O was recorded at Digitálly Studios. This song focuses on the come up. August is all about her money and respect. The artist once worked in the dark world of stripping strictly as a source of income and a way to take care of herself. But people in this industry are generally looked down upon and are called ugly names. This particular song takes power away from negative words that have been people have used to hurt her. M.A.O. is available now on all major music platforms. August is excited to share the visuals of where she grew up in Watts in the music video now available on Youtube.

August has teamed up with producer Shawn Diggy to help define her new sound. Being from Watts CA, August had to craft a new sound to keep from sounding like everyone else from her area. There’s always been a sonic connection with west coast music and midwest music. This known fact led August to Diggy and now they create magic.

Once on a completely different career path, August has found her true passion as a rapper. Her songs detail the many ups and downs along her path to success including once being locked in the trunk of a car by Suge Knight. She has never stopped pursuing her dreams and shares this through her music.

About August Cole
August is a native of Watts California. Her music style comprised of Hip-Hop/Trap and R&B. She’s no newbie when it comes to the beat. Her father was a drummer for names as big as Prince so she’s no stranger to the music scene. August has been singing, rapping and acting from a very young age.  She began to explore the idea of a rap career while she was working in a strip club. Eventually, she parted ways with the adult dancing world in order to dedicate more time to her dream of making it in the music industry.

August struggled for many years with finding and developing her sound but she has finally arrived. She’s decided to make her entry as a rap artist while slowly introducing her singing skills. Using everything she’s learned along the way she’s now 100 percent focused on her craft. When it comes to lyrics this young lady can stand with the best of them. She has all the signs of a classic Hip-Hop emcee but at the same time, she’s able to fit right in with today’s ever-changing look and sound.
