Axiros Announces AXESS 3.8.1 Software Update

Axiros, a leader in device management and IoT solutions for service providers, enterprises, and OEMs, today announced the general availability of AXESS 3.8.1.

This update, a follow-up to AXESS 3.8, is the company’s flagship and industry-leading software. AXESS.ACS manages CPEs with Broadband Forum-compliant CWMP (TR-069) stacks as well as other open management protocols. While TR-069 remains a critical area of focus, Axiros is continuing to evolve its software as this protocol continues to evolve.

This new software also enables highly flexible and scalable interactions with a large number of devices for the purposes of configuration and reconfiguration, mass operations including firmware downloads, fault clearance, and real-time subscriber support. There are various improvements in the areas of business logic and service provisioning, southbound, northbound, and user Interfaces.

For example, users can create a campaign by conditions based on service and meta criterias; it expands the campaign functionality and allows adding campaigns for both existing CPEs and devices that will be connected to the ACS later.

Additionally, AXESS now supports user interaction with a ticket flow, which can be used to define test cases that require user input. The GUI now provides the ability to create complete service provisioning flows and eliminates the need to write a southbound scenario to create a provisioning flow.

The Device Schema supports device-specific provisioning logic including vendor-specific parameters. Before any configuration is sent to a device, a smart scenario validates the device parameter tree to exclude unsupported parameters from being provisioned.

The new UIs are based on Angular JS and Bootstrap. They fully utilize the default REST interfaces of AXESS and provide improved customizations points, full theme support, full localization and custom widgets.
