Today, Biologix LLC., announced the launch of their new CDC/WHO compliant hand sanitizer gel in response to the current pandemic.
“Initially, we created a WHO/CDC 80% alcohol compliant gel to supply to our 100+ contracted workers,” commented Ken Braunstein, VP of Business Development for Biologix LLC. “When production started, we were overwhelmed by requests from friends, family, business associates and healthcare facilities. We had the capacity, the materials and the process in place, so we ramped our production to meet local, state and national requests.”
The sanitizer gel is formulated to kill 99.9% of bacteria on contact and is scent-free. “We wanted a gel that was CDC/WHO compliant and made a difference in fighting Covid-19” Braunstein Commented.
You need a fairly high concentration of alcohol to rapidly break apart the organisms’ protective coating – which is why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends hand sanitizers with a minimum of 60% alcohol. Biologix’s sanitizer formula greatly exceeds The CDC recommendation.
Their goal in scaling production was to focus on providing bulk quantities that municipalities, hospitals and healthcare facilities can use to replenish their internal sanitizer stations without paying markups and buying at basically cost.
