Blacks in Technology will Highlight Where Business, Law & Tech Intersect During Black History Month

San Diego, CA (PRUnderground) February 5th, 2020

Blacks in Technology San Diego (BIT-SD) will commemorate Black History Month with a special event in partnership with Latham & Watkins law firm, the San Diego County Bar Association, Cal Western School of Law and the University of San Diego School of Law.

On Thursday February 20, 2020, BIT-SD will host an evening of networking and business insight from some of the most prominent business women and men in San Diego. BIT-SD has curated a panel of black attorneys and executives from some of San Diego’s leading companies, such as Quest Diagnostics, ResMed, and Qualcomm. This dynamic panel event, titled Where Business, Law, & Tech Intersect, will be moderated by the incoming dean and president of Cal Western School of Law, Sean Megan Scott. Dean Scott is one of two black women to be appointed president of an American Law School. BIT-SD looks forward to highlighting her and the other panelists during Black History Month.

BIT-SD Chapter Organizer, Elizabeth Cotton, stated, “This is such a great event for attorneys and technology professionals alike. Our panelists will highlight some of the latest technology trends through the lens of intellectual property and trademark law. We are also very excited to highlight a panel of exceptional leaders in San Diego’s Law and Tech Community.”

This event will be held at Latham & Watkins San Diego Offices in the Del Mar Heights region. After the panel concludes, networking will continue at the Ocean View Bar at Hotel Indigo Del Mar. Tickets to panel are $10. Doors Open at 6:00pm. Food & Beverage Provided. Business Professional/Casual Attire Required.
