Boothhill Inn & Suites is First Autism Certified Hotel in Montana, Joins Initiative to Make Billings More Accessible for Visitors

Boothill Inn & Suites is now a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), a designation awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations who complete training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic guests or those with sensory sensitivities.

Boothill Inn & Suites is the first location to follow Visit Billing’s initiative to achieve the designation of Certified Autism Destination (CAD), which means that visitors can choose from a variety of trained and certified lodging, recreation, and entertainment options in the area.

“I have a personal understanding of the challenges related to traveling with a family member with special needs. In addition, several of our employees at the hotel have similar experiences. We are pleased to be the first hotel in Montana and the entire Northwest Region to earn the certification of Certified Autism Center™. IBCCES also created AutismTravel.com, a free online resource for parents that lists certified destinations and connects families to other resources and each other. Each destination listed on the site has met the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) requirements.
