BrickHouse Grill in New Orleans Hires Zach Hendrick For Public Relations Internship

Zach Hendrick, a native of Dexter, Missouri, was recently selected for an internship with the Brickhouse Grill, a New Orleans-inspired eatery located in Jonesboro, Arkansas

A senior at Arkansas State University, Zach’s internship will run through the Spring semester, and represents a final step in completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations.

Established in 2007 by Louisiana transplant Dan Johnson, the Brickhouse Grill has been serving up Cajun style cuisine in an unbeatable atmosphere. Situated in the thriving Arts and Entertainment District of Jonesboro, this hip eatery combines amazing food, live music and top-notch entertainment. The Brickhouse Grill is located 218 S. Main Street, and has played has played a key role in the efforts to revitalize the downtown area,

As part of his work at the Brickhouse Grill, Zach hopes to expand the current marketing strategy by focusing on social media promotions. Despite its’ popularity, this hip eatery hasn’t capitalized on all avenues of social media marketing, an area Zach hopes to improve with his efforts. He also plans to revamp the appearance of both the website and menu. When asked about his internship goals, Zack said, “I hope to boost sales and strengthen the Brickhouse Grill name. That’s my goal.”

Zach’s internship, a part of his Public Relations Practicum class, will be supervised by Dr. Gil Fowler. Dr. Fowler will review Zach’s progress, and Zach’s class time will be used to fine tune his skills and knowledge base as he completes his program.

Now 21, Zach is the son of business owners Alan and Tracy Hedrick. He was born and raised in Dexter, Missouri and began his academic career at Arkansas State University in the fall of 2009. Though originally he planned to study Political Science, he switched his major to Public Relations during his second year. Zach has thoroughly enjoyed his time in the ASU College of Communications, and looks forward to utilizing his education in his future endeavors.

Zack is eagerly anticipating his graduation on May 11, 2013, and knows that his time and experience with the Brickhouse Grill will serve him well as he begins his professional career.
