When John Huxtable was working as an investor in flip properties in the ‘90s, he quickly realized two things: homeowners loved his dedication to keeping them informed about their renovation projects, and his favorite project, by far, was bathroom remodels. Over the years, he thought about making the transition to solely working on bathroom renovations and he knew that the perfect person to join him in this venture was his younger brother, Alex Keyles.
With a 22-year age difference between the brothers, Alex had spent summers during high school working with John, cleaning up job sites and learning the business from the ground up. As a complement to John’s experience, Alex’s millennial, tech mindset, brought a unique perspective on how to grow the company’s message and vision digitally once he joined John full-time. Together, the brothers have grown Bathroom Buddy Remodeling, with a focus on servicing aging bathrooms to better suit homeowners’ needs.
John explains, “Being in someone’s house is very personal and, in a lot of ways, inconvenient. Construction is disrupting their everyday life and their routine, so it is our responsibility to create a trusting, respectful, and approachable atmosphere. Making the process as easy as possible for the homeowner is just as important as a tile being set correctly. There is no trade-off for another; we gauge our success of delivering the total package in both aspects.”
With Alex’s tech background, they’ve continued to evolve the company, growing the Bathroom Buddy Remodeling fan base to over tens of thousands of followers on Facebook and Instagram, setting their company apart from the competition.
