Women’s Business Center of Utah Teams Up with BROWNIESx3 to Host Summer Bash Highlighting Utah Women-Owned Businesses

Salt Lake City, Utah (PRUnderground) July 22nd, 2021

Molly Kohrman, owner of BROWNIES! BROWNIES! BROWNIES! was featured on Good Morning America as part of their Rise & Shine series featuring the great places and people in Utah. The segment included an event hosted at Molly’s shop last evening featuring women-owned businesses in partnership with the Women’s Business Center of Utah.

Several local women-owned businesses joined in for the pop-up market creating an atmosphere of excitement and entrepreneurship, including Native Flower Company, Olio Skin & Beard Co., and Sisilia Angilau, Chosen Creative, Mindful Living Utah, The Pleiadian Altar, fulFILLed Utah, Be:Light Candle Co, and Mountain Born Creamery. In addition, the community event offered vendors, food trucks, music, games, and of course, brownies for all.

“The quote ‘empowered women, empower women,’ has meant a lot to me lately, and I want to be that person,” said Molly Korhman, owner of BROWNIESx3. “It was very humbling to be recognized on Good Morning America. I hope others see that what you have to give is good enough. Can you imagine the good that could come from entire communities coming together?”

This event was in celebration of women-owned businesses and the Utah Women-Owned Business Directory launch, a free listing of women-owned businesses created as a public service by the Women’s Business Center of Utah. This valuable FREE resource will serve as a tool to support the small business community in Utah.

“Molly is a great example of the resiliency of Utah women entrepreneurs. She has not only found a niche with her brownie shop but is exceptionally supportive in our community. I am thrilled she is being highlighted and know that many other women business owners, who see themselves in her, are inspired,” said Ann Marie Wallace, state director of the Women’s Business Center of Utah.

The Utah Women-Owned Business Directory promotes and supports for-profit businesses with a woman owner/operator. This includes home-based businesses, solopreneurs, side-businesses, brick and mortar, online, e-commerce, service-based or product-based businesses, and franchise businesses. This public directory, found at utahwomenowned.com is searchable by type of business and location throughout Utah.
