Facebook Live was used to showcase largest sale in the dealership’s history

Bryan Honda recently held their record-shattering Beat the Heat Sale, which offered the largest sale in the dealership’s history. The team at Bryan Honda notably used Facebook Live to raise awareness for the sale.

The sale offered three sales in one day beginning at 6am and ending at 10pm on July 30, 2016. The night before the sale, people showed up at 11pm to camp out so they could be there when the doors open. Bryan Honda leveraged Facebook Live, Instagram, and e-mail marketing to pique the curiosity of prospects.

According to Bryan Honda, the engagement on Facebook was so strong that they fielded daily phone calls and Facebook messenger requests from interested prospects. At the end of the day, Bryan Honda sold 25 cars.

Bryan Honda has become well-known for marketing disruptions and has been featured in several publications due to their use of Facebook marketing. Their latest use of social media offers a Facebook Live success story.

For one week, the Bryan Honda team focused on at least one targeted Facebook Live video to promote the Beat the Heat Sale. Rico Glover, Chief Digital Officer of Bryan Honda and co-author of the ebook Facebook Live: the Invasion of Live Video Streaming, said, “Just as Ted Turner changed television with the first 24-hour cable news network, Mark Zukerberg is changing all media with Facebook Live. Now, anyone with an idea, Facebook Live, and a phone can become a FaceVider and reach hundreds or millions in real time.”

Tim Roussell, General Manager of Bryan Honda, has built some of the largest dealerships in the country. He has used TV and radio to market to buyers, but now, he wants to use Facebook Live to build the first dealership where you can research, get pre-approved, and purchase a vehicle directly from within the Facebook platform.

During their beta test for selling vehicles on Facebook, the Bryan Honda team says they weren’t prepared. According to Roussell, they’ve hired a complete call center with a dedicated manager and representatives to assist with customer care. Soon, Bryan Honda will relaunch their Hondazon event on Facebook. This, in combination with a full command on how to use Facebook Live for business, will help the dealership boost sales again and again.
