Which EVs get the most mileage on a full charge

Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) March 11th, 2021

With electric vehicles growing in popularity, the phrase “range anxiety” has reappeared in the automotive industry. With the reality of how many miles motorists do actually drive playing off against the increasing number of miles available to EVs nowadays, CarBuzz compiled a list of cars that can travel over 300 miles on a single charge.

Tesla Model X Long Range

Although the EPA estimates range at 371 miles, Tesla states the Model X will manage 360 miles on a single charge. The Tesla Model X has a 3.8-second 0-60 sprint time, and an MSRP of $89,990 before incentives and tax credits.

Tesla Model 3 Long Range

With 353 miles of range, the Model 3 costs $46,990 before federal and state credits. It needs 4.2 seconds to hit 60 mph.

Tesla Model Y Long Range

The Model Y Long Range has a 326-mile range claimed by the manufacturer. As a compact crossover, the starting price of $49,995 is not cheap.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

The Mustang Mach-E’s extended-range RWD California Route 1 Edition was given a 305-mile range by the EPA. To get the best-in-range sub-three-second 0-60 mph sprint time, you’ll need the Mach-E GT, but you’ll lose out on around 70 miles of range.

Rivian R1T and R1S

As examples of future cars, both the Rivian truck and SUV claim a 300+ range. The 300-mile-plus estimate pertains to the base model truck – upper trims will have a 180-kWh battery, with the range expected to extend well over 400 miles.

Nissan Ariya

The long range variant of the Ariya will be fitted with an 87-kWh battery and should manage 300 miles of range on a full charge. It has a reasonable $40k starting price.

Karma GSe-6

With only a few teaser pics to go on, the second EV from Karma has yet to be released. The GSe-6 sedan is rumored to have a $79,900 starting price and a claimed range of 300 miles.

Lucid Air

Due in the spring of 2021, the Air Grand Touring claims 517 miles of range. The unproven new carmaker also claims 400 miles and 503 miles of range for its Touring and Dream Edition models, too. Pricing ranges from $74,400 to just under $170k.

Tesla Model S Plaid+

The most recent addition to the Tesla stable, the Model S Plaid+ is advertised with a range of 520+ miles. Claims by the manufacturer that this is the quickest production car ever seem believable, with Tesla stating a sub-1.99 second benchmark sprint.
