CBD Oil Sales Booming Despite A Very Confused Regulatory Scenario Says HealthFoodPost.com

Industry: Food & Drink

New Brunswick, NJ (PRUnderground) August 22nd, 2017

CBD sales are booming even as the regulatory scenario remains mired in confusion and controversy. In the meantime sales are soaring and the public interest in CBD products is strong. Many fitness and nutrition related websites have been adding CBD to their product lines including HealthFoodPost.com, a popular destination in the fitness niche since 2012 see here see here https://healthfoodpost.com/cbd-oil/

In fact, a pure CBD oil tincture product from a U.S. company has become the fastest selling new product on HealthFoodPost. This summer HealthFoodPost added the CBD brand for the first time and it was a fast hit. The company has been featuring news and discount shopping for specialty fitness and nutrition products since 2012 and has a large national and international following.

CBD is extracted from industrial hemp by most companies as opposed to extracting it from cannabis with predominant levels of THC, the component in recreational cannabis that gets people high. Once extracted the substance is usually combined in an oil base to create CBD oil. But, it is also used in edibles and some vape products. But, the most popular type products seem to be oil tincture products where it is used by applying a few drops under the tongue, depending on the potency of the drops. Potency per drop varies greatly from company to company and product to product. And, the prices vary widely making the selection of the best CBD oil products a bit of a minefield for consumers. Some of the current popular CBD products include CW Hemp from the Stanley Brothers, CBD Essence, Kannaway, CBDPure, Rick Simpson Oil and others.

Most CBD oil products are made from industrial hemp. CBD is one of over 75 compounds present in hemp plants. The compound that produces the marijuana high is THC, which comes from cannabis buds. But, the second most well known compound from the cannabis plant, and from hemp, is CBD. Cannabidiol, or CBD, does not produce a high. Yet, since it derives from the same plants there remains significant confusion and controversy. In spite of this, CBD oil sales are booming in the United States and around the world. And as many people perceive potential nutritional benefits from CBD there is a growing demand for higher levels of CBD in recreational marijuana.

Not only is CBD popular with consumers but there is growing investment demand from venture capitalists seeking to capitalize on not just the growing CBD market but from the entire legal marijuana market as well. Since early 2016 an estimated $1.9 billion has been raised from speculators and investors for cannabis and hemp related investment projects despite the confused regulatory scenario in many states and at the federal level.

Cannabis companies got capital infusions of more than $734 million between Jan. 1 and April 21, a big increase from the prior year. A report by the New Frontier Data and Viridian Capital AdvisorsĀ states this brings the grand total to $1.9 billion since early 2016. That shows many serious speculators see a positive risk-reward ratio for a market with huge potential.
