CertNexus Launches Cyber Secure Coder 210

CertNexus has launched an update to their secure coding certification, Cyber Secure Coder® (CSC). CSC is intended for those currently in or seeking careers such as Software Architect, Lead Developer, Software Engineer, Programmer, QA Tester, or others which routinely use programming and scripting languages.

Since the first version of CSC was released in 2017, there has been a continued expansion of technology which has altered the threat landscape. In response, we have updated the exam to address the top security risks to developers including the OWASP Top Ten, which reflect the most current security violations for applications, vulnerabilities in IoT and mobile apps, web and server-based applications exploits and attacks.

Tool sets and protocols have been updated as we continue to emphasize threat modeling and include privacy considerations under GDPR and country specific privacy laws. And the associated 3-day course receives an update to its hands-on practice exercises using the latest software versions to better address vulnerabilities in today’s fast paced development environment. Cyber Secure Coder (CSC)  – CertNexus’ BUILD level certification in its Cybersecurity product line – is designed to validate the knowledge and skills required to design and develop protected applications, regardless of the language used for development or the platform on which they will be deployed.
