Chin Tung Sheng, the Singapore-based Investor and Instagram Influencer, Continues His Rise to Fame

The Asian social media star and investor boasts over 350,000 Instagram followers, and collaborates with international brands to engage with a younger Asian customer base.

When it comes to growing companies and expanding market share, Chin Tung Sheng knows a thing or two: The 23 year old leads a high seven-figure investment portfolio and closely works with Forex fund houses. This allows the Singapore-based social media star to understand what international brands are looking for in Asia. “It’s a different world, and global brands understand that it takes local leading voices to support and promote their brand,” states Tung Sheng.

Recently, Tung Sheng was voted a Top Influencer by the high-impact South China Morning Post in Asia, underlining his relevance in the region’s markets. But his marketing strategies are not as subtle as a Western executive might expect: “I’m not in the business of toning it down, and neither is the typical Millennial or Gen Z consumer here in Asia,” explains Tung Sheng, as he lounges in a bright red Supreme hoodie. “The brands I collaborate with understand that the young Asian consumer lives life at a different speed than their Western counterparts. And the same Western marketing strategies just won’t work here in Singapore or in Asia.” Tung Sheng lives what he preaches, and enjoys buying and wearing luxury brands like Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. “I flash my wealth, I’m well aware of that. But I can back it up with cold, hard numbers, and business accomplishments that I have achieved.” Despite his business success, Tung Sheng is currently also studying at Kaplan in their business and law program. “If you stop growing in the Asian markets, you start losing.”

Despite the global pandemic, Tung Sheng remains positive: “I fully expect our local and regional markets to bounce back. Industries in our geography are used to adversity, they are used to problems popping up along the way to the top. Yes, currently some projects are on hold, but there are just as many projects that are ready to go, and my team and I are executing our operational plan diligently.” Tung Sheng can be reached for interested parties and brands that are seeking to address the Asian markets.
