Co-Founder of Global Tech Collision Inc, a ThreeBestRated® auto body shops in Burlington, shares his story

Almost all of us would have enjoyed dissembling a toy and assembling it together when we were kids. Ahmed El-Ashi was the same. Except he put together the parts of an actual car, and today he is the co-founder of Global Tech Collision Inc, a 2021 ThreeBestRated® award-winning auto body shop in Burlington. 

So, how did Ahmed turned his childhood dream into reality? Ahmed himself shares his story.

The Birth of Global Tech Collision Inc:

“My love for the auto body started at a young age. My eldest brother was a mechanic who worked on his trans am in the parking lot after hours and let me remove parts and tinker with his parts car, which gave me a lot of pride, especially when I would figure it out all by myself,” he says proudly. He was only ten at that time.

His elder brother Motaz El-Ashi (who is also his current partner) got into the trade at a local body shop in Burlington long before Ahmed. Even though they both were passionate about this field and wanted to start their own auto body shop and work side by side, they didn’t know how much it would cost.

Later, Ahmed joined the Royal Canadian Navy and was serving his third year in British Colombia when he got a call from his brother about a small shop on sale. And in 2007, they got the keys to Global Tech Collision Inc.

Certifications:

Over the years, Global Tech Collision Inc has obtained certifications from multiple manufacturers, including Nissan Canada. And Ahmed is planning to multiply the number of certifications this year. “As an independent body shop that is not part of a franchise, our competitive edge is delivering dealership-level quality at a lower price. This, I believe, has been the biggest reason for our success over the years. I want to make it where it can not get better than what I deliver for all my clients,” he explains.

Ahmed is also proud that he was able to help many people during these challenging times. “A lot of people, especially in 2020, can not go through insurance because the increased rate might cripple their finances. For me to be able to help people with such costly repairs is something I take a lot of pride in,” he further adds.
