Charles Russell Leone IV is a Class A licensed skydiver. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and has been passionate about sports since his childhood. As a student, he developed an interest in economics, and is currently pursuing his Majors in Finance from University of Texas (Dallas).

Charles Russell Leone played all kinds of sports when he was kid, including small sided soccer, and swimming. But it was in the first year of University, that he discovered skydiving and realized his true passion. Over the time, he not only continued skydiving as a hobby but also became a licensed skydiver by applying to US Parachute Association.

Skydiving is an attractive extreme sport, intended for brave young men and women, height lovers, eager for excitement and adrenaline as well as self-confirmation and proving their courage and fearlessness. It is the realization of the ancient men’s dream of flying like birds, and the closest to that feeling while the wind blows in your face as you freely fall onto the ground.

Charles Russell Leone, a licensed skydiving instructor, advises us to be mindful of the following things before jumping from a plane at more than 100 miles per hour:

  1. Wait for good weather, close between November and March.
  2. Minimum age to jump is 15 years with parental authorization. Also, note that you have to be at least 90 lbs to be able to jump.
  3. First jump is always done with an approved instructor.
  4. Good health is an essential requirement to jump.
  5. You can practice skydiving even with airsickness or dizziness.
  6. Fall lasts for 50-60 seconds (from 1000 ft high) to 4-5 min (from 5000 ft high)

In the spring of 2016, Texas was hit by devastating floods. Charles, committed to repairing Charles Russell Leone IV joined Southern Shingles, National roofing Supply and Delivery Company. He committed himself to repair damaged roofs and distributing the materials needed. He worked on the ground for 60-70 hours a week, helping people repair their homes and survive the situation better.

Charles Russell Leone takes pride in identifying himself as “Charles Russell Leone IV – Class A licensed skydiver”. Yet, he feels he has a lot to learn to lead his journey towards proficiency.
